Ronald Reagan's Policies Began The Destruction Of The Middle Class & The Constitution

2/10/2015

Of Reagan's policies we know that this is what he set out to do:

"Only by reducing the growth of government," said Ronald Reagan, "can we increase the growth of the economy." Reagan's 1981 Program for Economic Recovery had four major policy objectives: (1) reduce the growth of government spending, (2) reduce the marginal tax rates on income from both labor and capital, (3) reduce regulation, and (4) reduce inflation by controlling the growth of the money supply.

... and he accomplished the exact opposite with a booming deficit, and the financial crisis of 2008 which Reagan laid deregulation polices laid the foundation for, not to mention the inflating currency which minimum wage has barely kept up up leaving most of the country in poverty wages. Bush did the same thing with the same results... and now the GOP are once again pushing the same policies whose results we have documented over almost 20 years of GOP administrations proving them to be bad polices. But the GOP owns so much of the media that they are winning elections almost solely on lies and fear based marketing.

Did Reagan's policies destroy the middle class? That one is an easy yes...

How Reaganomics Destroyed The Middle Class...And Maybe America

Notice in the following images how badly everyone but the rich have been doing since Reagan's polices. It's amazing that Republicans, being mostly poor & middle class folk, have been voting against their interests and for the interests of a very few rich people for the past 40 years. A population voting against their own interests for such a long time surely can't be a healthy phenomenon?

The National Debt went up under: Reagan 186%, Bush W. 77%... (what the following statistic show is that only the rich benefited from Reagan's policies)

Going deeper...

Secret Government - The Constitution In Crisis (FULL):
This is the full length 90 min. version of Bill Moyer's 1987 scathing critique of the criminal subterfuge carried out by the Executive Branch of the United States Government to carry out operations which are clearly contrary to the wishes and values of the American people. *** WITH SOUND! Only a small piece (about 1 1/2 minute) is without sound, for a copyrighted bit of music. Full sound resumes at 3:20 ***

The ability to exercise this power with impunity is facilitated by the National Security Act of 1947. The thrust of the exposé is the Iran-Contra arms and drug-running operations which flooded the streets of our nation with crack cocaine. The significance of the documentary is probably greater today in 2007 than it was when it was made. We now have a situation in which these same forces have committed the most egregious terrorist attack on US soil and have declared a fraudulent so-called "War on Terror". The ruling regime in the US who have conducted the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, are now banging the war drum against Iran.
Questions to ask yourself about GOP policies going to to the Reagan era:

Was Reagans executive order creating the NSA actually to protect the GOP from another Watergate?

Are Reagans Death Squads of S. America & the instability they caused part of the reason we are having such a large immigration influx?

GOP-Conservatives NEVER Blame Their Own People NO Matter What They Do

Note: Their primary goal is to get liberals so whatever their politicians do in this war is OK, including destroying the Constitution, apparently.

Introduction:

Conservatives "rhetoric" following in "Buffoon" Billy's example, got a Judge killed and a congress woman (on the other side of the aisle) shot (it's no wonder Democrats are scared of conservatives).

Note: Given how conservatives have beenbreaking down society with their crazy policies (such as the Kansas Economic experiment in stupidity) and attacking the economy for elections ratings with their media network, the following Jon Stewart segment needs to be taken with a grain of salt. No Democrat wants to be pointing out the obvious that the GOP-Conservative are traitors. So they dance around the issue and come up with sensible, in between, fictions to get by...

Given the echo chambers the GOP have set up, conservatives have begun to act in a way that contradicts reality, so often,  that they are seriously beginning to resemble a zombie horde. Mercilessly attacking... based on no research or investigation, JUST a pure and fervent belief, in the rightness of their cause... which is based, proudly, on a foundation of lies.

Welcome to the REAL Zombie Apocalypse...

Democalypse 2012 - Do We Look Stupid? Don't Answer That Edition - Grammatical Gaffes : Mitt Romney's attack on Barack Obama's slight grammatical misstep regarding small business is what people do in an argument when they're completely f**ked. (The amazing part is that the GOP followers bought it! Conservatives ARE the Zombie Apocalypse.

News Report: Republicans to declare ‘We Built This!’ in stadium built with government funds You can't create a modern business without infrastructure. You need a car to get to a business, that care requires roads - you need electricity for running the business etc. Although this can be done privately it rarely is (historically). It's basic economics.

OR

As Mitt Romney put it...
"There are a lot of people in government who help us and allow us to have an economy that works and allow entrepreneurs and business leaders of various kinds to start businesses and create jobs. We all recognize that. That's an important thing.... I know that you recognize that a lot of people help you in a business. Perhaps the banks, the investors. There's no question your mom and dad. Your school teachers. The people that provide roads, the fire, and the police. A lot of people help."...

i.e. the same thing said by the GOP to their supporters is immediately agreed with by the GOP's followers who seem to obey the most hypocritical command at the drop of a hat.

Has this guy been fooled or is he just lying cause he hates Obama because he only watches Fox News?...

Small Businessman Who Hit Obama at GOP Convention Got $850,000 in Government Loans At the Republican national convention on Tuesday, nearly every speech invoked—in an unfair, out-of-context manner—President Obama's statement that successful small business owners benefit from government investment in roads, bridges, and education. Republicans have repeatedly used Obama's line "you didn't build that," excluding the crucial context, to imply that Obama believes that entrepreneurs didn't build their own businesses. One small business owner tapped by the Republican National Committee to speak at the GOP's "I Built That"-themed convention Tuesday was Phil Archuleta, owner of P&M Signs in New Mexico. "President Obama talks like he supports small businesses, but his actions are destroying us," Archuleta told the thousands in attendance Tuesday night. "His administration is putting us out of business. It is our turn to put them out of office!" But Archuleta's business, like those of several other business owners at the GOP convention, benefited greatly from government help. Through the Department of Commerce's Minority Business Development Agency, Archuleta secured an $850,000 Small Business Administration loan guarantee to build an 11,700-square-foot building for his company. The Minority Business Development Agency's website also says that Archuleta worked with the US Forest Service, to which he supplies signs, and a Department of Energy laboratory to develop environmentally friendly sign materials. So not only did Archuleta build new infrastructure for his business with a government loan, he collaborated with government agencies to improve the quality of his product.Archuleta's small business, in other words, directly contradicts the GOP's "I built that" nonsense. The Republican National Committee has trotted out business owners to highlight Obama's and the government's supposedly harmful effect on businesses. In Phil Archuleta's case, government has had the opposite effect. Some perspective On the 'We built this' nonsense...

Here is yet another Mitt Romney campaign add lie that is so absurd that it makes the Republican party look like a cult!

Romney remembers his NAACP speech differently A couple of weeks ago, Mitt Romney brought his trusted teleprompter to the NAACP convention, where he received a polite reception, right up until he vowed to destroy a health care reform law that brings coverage to 7 million African Americans. The Republican then heard loud and sustained booing. Soon after, Romney made it seem as if he wanted to get booed. In fact, that night, he told donors in Montana that if NAACP members want "more free stuff" from the government, they should "vote for the other guy." Two weeks later, however, the Romney campaign has a new video, reaching out to African-American voters (via ABL)

A small collection of Mitt Romney Lies...

Mitt’s master gaffe list Post-RNC, we update the massive (and growing) list of Mitt's epic flubs, goofs and falsehoods

UPDATED:We’ve added to our comprehensive list of Mitt Romney’s dubious statements — and will keep updating until Election Day. Check back soon!

49. “That very optimism is uniquely American.” Truth: Actually, according to Gallup polls several years running, Nigerians are the most optimistic people in the world. Greeks are the most pessimistic. Americans are somewhere in the middle. (Aug. 30, 2012)

48. “But today, four years from the excitement of the last election, for the first time, the majority of Americans now doubt that our children will have a better future.” Truth: Setting aside the fact that it contradicts his earlier claim about Americans’ optimism, he’s right that Americans are not very optimistic about their kids’ future. But it’s hardly “the first time.” (Aug. 30, 2012)

47. “When I was 37, I helped start a small company.” Truth: Bain Capital was not and never has been a “small company.” (Aug. 30, 2012)

 46. “And let me make this very clear — unlike President Obama, I will not raise taxes on the middle class.” Truth: Obama did not raise taxes on the middle class by any stretch of the imagination. The stimulus actually gave a tax cut to 95 percent of working families via a cut in payroll taxes. Republicansfought the extension of that cut when it expired. Meanwhile, according to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, Romney’s budget plan would raise taxes on the middle class, while cutting taxes on the wealthy. (Aug. 30, 2012)

45. “I have a plan to create 12 million new jobs. It has five steps.” Truth: History shows this is likely an unrealistic pipe dream. (Aug. 30, 2012)

44. “His $716 billion cut to Medicare to finance Obamacare will both hurt today’s seniors, and depress innovation — and jobs — in medicine.” Truth: One of the most persistent lies of the campaigns — Obama did not cut Medicare. (Aug. 30, 2012)

43.  “President Obama began with an apology tour.” Truth: Politifact gave this one a “Pants on Fire,” calling it a “ridiculous charge.” (Aug. 30, 2012)

42. “His trillion dollar cuts to our military will eliminate hundreds of thousands of jobs, and also put our security at greater risk.” Truth: Romney blames Obama for cuts that will kick in in January, but they actually are the result of a 2011 bipartisan budget to raise the government’s debt ceiling that Republicans agreed to. (Aug. 30, 2012)
