The End Result Of Post WW2 Propaganda In the Oil Industry

How war and oil combined together....

This is the background that our parents parents lived in. Oil wasn't a welfare queen as it is now getting millions in taxpayer financed subsidies but an ally to economic greatness (this was BEFORE Big Oil began sucking at the teat of the taxpayer).

After all these decades of 'oil is our saviour' campaigns, which began with good intentions, it's now one of our cultural blindspots. Politicians at Federal and Local levels get caught up in helping big oil as that's what their parents did, so that's what they are doing. It's become a tradition. No matter what new technologies, more appropriate to our time and new generations, comes along.

Big Oil was once our partner to economic greatness... but now it's become part of our Government and one of our biggest dependents, holding us back from greatness in the 21st Century.
